Professional profile: The Doctorate Degree in Energy from PPGEN/UFES aims to train doctors with high academic, scientific, and technological leadership skills in the area of energy. Graduates will be prepared to work with excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and management, contributing significantly to the scientific, technological, and sustainable advancement of the energy sector, both in the regional and national and international contexts. Graduates will be able to:
• Conduct advanced and innovative interdisciplinary research, contributing to the generation of knowledge and the development of strategic solutions for the energy sector;
• Lead research, development and innovation projects in academic institutions, research centers, public agencies and companies in the energy sector;
• Work on the training of new researchers, guiding and supervising scientific initiation, master's and doctoral work;
• Propose and implement policies and strategies for energy efficiency, energy transition and sustainability, with a critical vision and ethical and social commitment;
• Produce high-impact scientific knowledge, publishing in qualified journals, registering patents and promoting the transfer of technology and innovation to society;
• Integrate national and international research networks, expanding collaboration and scientific exchange on topics relevant to the energy area.
Target audience: The Doctorate degree in Energy is intended for holders of a master's degree in an area defined in the Selection Notice.
