Professors accreditation
General regulation of Ufes (accreditation and reaccreditation of faculty members):The professors of the Postgraduate Program must produce scientific and technological studies with certified value according to the criteria established by the internal and external agencies of monitoring and evaluation in the Posgraduate program.
The professors must be registered in Plataforma Lattes, in CNPq and must maintain it updated reporting their scientific and technological studies at least twice whitin a year (up to June 30th and until December 31st).
The faculty members of the Postgraduate Programs are ranked into two categories: Standing professors and collaborators professors.
After the accreditation of the Postgraduate Program, inclusion, disconnection and the categorizing of the professors which are faculty members, must receive the approval of its colegiate body academic calendar.
The permanence criteria and the professors categorization must be established in the internal policy of each Postgraduate Program taking into account the guidelines of its area of CAPES evaluation.
The categorization of the professors will be made annually.
The accession request of a professor to a Postgraduate program will be formalized by the consent form filling to "Postgarduate program participation" seen in attaches set out in annexes l and ll of the Postgraduate Program general regulation.

Establishes standards on accreditation, re-accreditation and de-accreditation of teachers
The Board of the Postgraduate Program in Energy (PPGEN), of the Federal University of Espírito Santo, in the use of its powers,
Considering General Postgraduate Regulations of the Federal University of Espírito Santo;
Considering CAPES Ordinance No. 174, of 12/30/2014, which defines the categories of PPG teachers as Permanent, Visiting and Collaborative;
RESOLVE:
CHAPTER I - GENERAL PROVISIONS
Art.1 - Definitions:
a) Accreditation is the process of entry of a new member into the PPGEN teaching staff.
b) Re-accreditation is the process of periodic evaluation of teachers who already work at PPGEN, which may result in maintenance or change of permanent or collaborator categories.
c) De-accreditation is the process of leaving a teacher who works at PPGEN.
Art.2 - Accreditation, re-accreditation or de-accreditation must be approved by the PPGEN board.
Art.3 - Omitted and special cases will be decided by the PPGEN Board.
CHAPTER II – ACCREDITATION
Art. 4 - The accreditation of a teacher to PPGEN will occur through a specific Notice.
Art. 5 - Candidates for accreditation will be evaluated according to their average technical and scientific production recorded on the Lattes Platform for the four-year period preceding the Notice, as per Table 1 of Annex I, with the evaluation criteria being the same as those defined in Art. 10 ° and 11° of this Resolution.
Art. 6 - If approved by the Board, the accreditation of a professor to PPGEN will be formalized by completing the Term of Agreement for “Participation in a Postgraduate Course” provided for in Annexes I and II of the UFES General Postgraduate Regulations.
Art. 7 - The accreditation of professors at PPGEN must meet the criterion of quantitative balance of professors between the different lines of research.
CHAPTER III – RECREDITATION
Art. 8 - The re-accreditation of PPGEN teachers will be carried out every two years.
Art. 9 For the PPGEN permanence criteria, only the average technical and scientific production of teachers recorded on the Lattes Platform for the four-year period preceding the commission's evaluation will be considered.
Art. 10 The criteria for the categorization and disqualification of teachers are based on the INDPROD parameter. This parameter is obtained as INDPROD = IndArt + IndLiv + IndCap + IndTec + IndEve, which refers to articles (IndArt), books (IndLiv), book chapters (IndCap), patents (IndTec) and complete works at events (IndEve ).
Art. 11 The technical and scientific production score for the purposes of categorizing and disqualifying teachers is found in Table 1 of Annex I of this regulation.
§ 1 For the purposes of completing Table 1, the following criteria must also be met:
I. Article, book and book chapter scores are divided by the number of permanent PPGEN teaching authors. To classify articles, the last Qualis Capes classification event is used. Books are considered as long as they are approved by Capes. Organization of books are not scored.
II. Maximum score limit for B4 and B5 articles is 20% of the total score for articles.
III. Maximum score limit for patents and events is 25% of the sum of scores for articles, books and book chapters.
IV. The same author can score a maximum of two chapters included in the same work (book).
V. Patents filed will be counted.
SAW. Articles accepted for publication will be counted.
§ 2 In the categorization of PPGEN teachers, the following are considered:
I. Permanent: professor with an INDPROD score greater than or equal to 0.51.
II. Collaborator: the teacher with an INDPROD score greater than or equal to 0.15 and less than 0.51.
§ 3º The teacher with an INDPROD score lower than 0.15 will be disqualified.
Art. 12 - The change of category from permanent to collaborator may occur at the request of the teacher, forwarded to the program coordinator and approved by the PPGEN board.
CHAPTER III – DISACREDITION
Art. 13 - The professor on the PPGEN teaching staff who falls under Art. 11 § 3 will be disqualified.
Art. 14 - Disqualification may also occur at the initiative of the teacher.
Art. 15 - The teacher's disqualification will be effective when his or her advisees complete the course or when the supervision is taken over by another permanent member of the program.
Single paragraph. The Professor who chooses to complete the orientation will not be able to teach the subject at PPGEN.
