Funding agencies and partnerships
PPGEN is funded by state and federal funding agencies and maintains partnerships with academic institutions, research centers and companies, with the aim of promoting scientific advancement, technological innovation and the training of highly qualified human resources.
FUNDING
PPGEN has received regular support from important agencies and research incentive programs, which enable the maintenance of its infrastructure, academic mobility and the financing of scholarships and projects:
• PROAP/CAPES: Graduate Support Program that finances the activities of stricto sensu courses, offering support for participation in scientific events, publications, consumable material and other actions aimed at academic qualification.
• Pró-Equipamentos/CAPES: PPGEN was awarded in the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 notices, which enabled the acquisition of essential scientific equipment for the modernization of laboratories, with an emphasis on shared use and strengthening of interdisciplinary research.
• CT-INFRA/FINEP: Approved in the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2023 calls for proposals, this funding contributed significantly to the expansion and renovation of the program's physical and laboratory infrastructure, supporting the creation of suitable spaces for applied research and innovation in energy.
• CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development): Funds Master's and Doctorate scholarships, technological and scientific research projects, as well as scientific initiation and productivity actions, promoting the strengthening of training and research within the scope of the program.
• FAPES (Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation): Acts as an essential partner in financing projects aimed at regional development, offering Master's and Doctorate scholarships, as well as funding for interinstitutional and innovative projects through regular calls for proposals.
• PARTNERSHIPS
PPGEN maintains a growing network of partnerships with academic and technological institutions in Brazil and abroad. These collaborations enable the development of joint projects, exchange of researchers, formation of thematic networks and sharing of scientific infrastructure:

• Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES).
• Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM).

PETROBRAS is also an important partner of PPGEN, financially supporting projects in the oil and gas area. These projects have contributed to the improvement of the program's infrastructure, the training of students and the advancement of applied research.
