Syllabus: Introduction to mathematical modeling of processes. Application of fundamental conservation laws. Numerical solution of a mathematical model. Numerical methods. Implementation in programming languages and/or simulators. Introduction to optimization. Application to models developed in previous modules. Detailed study of simulation or optimization tools that comprise the subject of a thesis/dissertation in Energy.
